World ocean, heart boat
I was sitting on the beach, looking out over the vast expanse of sea. Powerful waves were coming down, waving and colliding with each other. The caravan of my thoughts was revolving around this beautiful view that suddenly an idea made me startle. This sea which is breathing deeply, as beautiful as it is deep and terrible The enchanting waves, which are touching the shores and going back, look so beautiful, but they are so ruthless that if a person gets stuck in them, they can drown him. Waves that are made of water and water. The most important element that is necessary to keep a person alive, but this water - can drown a person and the beautiful sea that The boat floats on the surface and can sink to pieces when it comes to terror.
Our life and this world is like the ocean and our heart is like a boat floating on its surface, we can use the ocean only for our needs to get us to our destination. That is the purpose of its creation. Whether we find seafood, travel in it or take advantage of it. Yes, but one thing we have overlooked and never thought about. But today I give you a moment to think. Imagine what would happen if this ocean were our destiny and we drowned in it?
As long as the sea water is outside the boat, the boat is safe and under human control, but if the water enters the boat, then ?? What will happen when the world enters the boat of our heart like the water of the sea? Our fate will certainly not be different from that of a sinking ship.
When the world takes our heart hostage and makes it its slave, then this is what will happen. The world that should be under our control, when it overpowers us, then this will be the case. When the sea water overflows and enters the boat, then where is the boat under control? In order to swim safely in the ocean of the world, we have to keep this world within our limits and walk on the path that leads only to Allah and which our Lord has told us something like this:
Surely in the creation of the heavens and the earth are signs for men of understanding. (Surat al-Imran: 190)
The fact is that the world has been created for us, but we should not love it so much that it is difficult to leave it, nor should we abandon it so much that it reaches monasticism. The commandment of reluctance is necessary, but not of monasticism. We should follow the practice of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) about loving the world or abandoning it altogether, as can be seen in this hadeeth:
Hazrat Anas (RA) says that three men approached the wives of the purified ones to ask how the Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to worship them. When they were told, they considered it as inferior and said: Then all the previous and previous slips have been forgiven. Then one of them said: I will worship all night after today. The other said: I will fast all the time after today and I will never break it. The third said: I will abstain from women and will never marry. The Holy Prophet came to them and said: Did you say these things? By Allah! I am the man who I am most aware of Allah and I fear Allah, but I fast and I break my fast, I worship Him, I sleep and I marry women. So whoever abandons my Sunnah, he is with me. No. ”(Agreed)
The Holy Prophet (sws) never withdrew from the world in his asceticism and piety, his asceticism and piety was the highest, he was ascetic in his heart and his relationship with his Lord and his house (Ka'bah) Was greater than What is the reality of the world for us? The Qur'an tells us something like this:
“And the life of this world is but a sport and a spectacle, and the real life is the life of the Hereafter, if they only knew.”
Asceticism does not mean that we should give up the things of the world, while if we look at Islamic history, we see that the great Companions and religious leaders are the owners of wealth. Look at this for which it has been truly created and the fact that it is only a means and a means. The struggle is that this world is only in our hands but not in our hearts. As Hazrat Ali (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) has explained in a very beautiful way:
"Asceticism is not that you give up things, but asceticism is that nothing makes a place in your heart."
The sea water that enters the boat, the same world that enters our heart, then it becomes impossible for us to escape. The purpose of creating the sea is not to give it a place in the boat. It is not created to be placed in the heart. It is only a cause and a means and whatever the cause or means is, it cannot be allowed to take place in the heart or to control the heart. That is why Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Almighty Allah has repeatedly used the word “Mutaa” for the world in His Word. “Mutaa” means: “a cause of temporary happiness”. Is a source, destination, it is just a way never !!
One of the best examples of this we find in the hadith of the Holy Prophet is that the Holy Prophet said:
"How do I relate to this world? I am like a traveler in this world who stops for a while under the shade of a tree and after resting for a while resumes his journey and leaves the tree behind." (Sunan Ahmad, Jami 'al-Tirmidhi)
Consider the metaphor of “traveler” in this blessed hadith, what is the purpose and meaning of bringing it here? When you are on a journey or in a place about which you know that you are there. What would you think if your stay was temporary? When you stay in a city for one night, how attached are you to that place? When you know on a trip that you have to stay for a day or two So you would be willing to stay in a cheap hotel. But would you like to stay there forever? Probably not.
For example, your boss will send you to a new city for a new project and he won't tell you for sure when the project will end, but you know that you have to come back any day. Would you invest heavily in real estate or spend all your savings on a luxury car or shopping? No! Are you going to buy a lot of shoppers or some junk stuff? No, not at all! You wouldn't even agree to buy something for more than a day because you don't know when your boss will tell you. Call back
This is what is meant by "traveler". The idea that these things of the world are temporary and that we should not be attached to them, creates jealousy in man. This is what we see in his message. A hadith has been narrated in Mubarakah. He understood the dangers and dangers of this world and in fact he did not worry about anything more than this about us. He said:
“By Allah! I do not fear your poverty, but I fear that the world will become as numerous to you as it was to those before you, and then you will compete for it as they did. , Then it will destroy you as it did to those people. ”(Agreed upon)
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) enlightened us with the real reality of this life. He understood that to be in the world means to live in the world but not to settle the world in the heart. The world is an ocean and in this ocean he We all have to do the same, but the boat you were in knew where it came from and where it was going. Their boat was dry. The water of the sea did not touch him from inside. You knew that this sea which shines in the light of the sun and looks enchanting but! It's actually a cemetery, for the boat it enters.
