Naran Kaghan

Naran Kaghan Valley is a very popular tourist destination and one of the most beautiful places of northern areas of Pakistan. It is elevated 2500 meters above sea level. Naran Kaghan Valley is located in Mansehra district, KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) and is about 119 kilometers from Mansehra city.

It is a popular resort in the summer season. Its captivating beauty attracts people towards itself and thus it is a famous resort for tourists and trekkers. The weather of Naran Kaghan Valley is very cold. The ice on the mountain tops remains even in months of June and July.

The Kaghan Valley is named after the town of Kaghan that lies within it. The valley is also known as the valley of lakes because there are dozens of lakes including the most popular; Dudipatsar, Lulusar and Saiful Muluk (the most popular) lakes. The valley is well known for its serene and captivating scenery which attracts tourists and photographers from all around the globe every year. The Heavenly beautiful Saif-ul-Malook Lake

The lake is situated 8 kilometers north of Naran and probably the most popular spot among tourists. It has also a spiritual side and side and is mentioned a lot in poetry and fairy tales. It is named after a folk tale- a story of Prince Saif-ul-Malook who fell in love with a fairy princess at the lake. The lake is situated in the middle of high mountains, which throughout the year are covered with snow. The water is crystal clear blue which adds to the beauty of the place. An individual cannot put his feet under it for more than 30 seconds.

It is high altitude lake situated adjacent to Malika Parbat and can be reached via 11 km trail starting at Saif-ul-Malook Lake. Due to deteriorating weather, it is difficult to reach it at start and end of season and therefore Anso Jheel remains accessible from early May till late December.
