Curiosity: The virtue that makes a person great
The process of development and innovation began in the world with the desire to learn

We read three kinds of books in life. The first category consists of course and textbooks. We don't pass exams without reading and memorizing them, nor do we get a degree without them. The textbooks are compiled by scholars, intellectuals, scientists and scholars of their time. Courses change according to the research of every age and every time. Therefore, the standards of measuring the educated and the educated also change. Other types of books are part of our choice of hobbies and moods. These books can be on politics, humor, fiction, religion, biographies, travelogues, self-help, philosophy, poetry, wisdom, spirituality. We read these books to our liking. These books make us think and at the same time help us to develop our personality. We don't have to test these books, but these books help us pass many tests of life.
The third type of books is inspired books. Allah Almighty sent these books down to earth for the guidance of humanity and the last of these books is the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran is in Arabic, we read this book with politeness and respect. To understand the Holy Quran, they take the help of Urdu translation. However, linguists agree that writing in one language cannot be transmitted exactly to another. The Qur'an is the word of Allah anyway, which is the source of growth and guidance for the world to come. Those who read it with the eye of the heart and with contemplation see the world of meaning hidden in its verses and there are new doors of knowledge and cognition. However, it is also a fact that it is not possible to cover his knowledge. I love the Holy Quran and I read its translation with a little effort. Yesterday I was reciting Surah Al-Alaq, this is the last Surah. Its first verses were revealed to the Prophet on the occasion of the first revelation. Its verse number four is “Al-Ilm-e-Ilm-e-Qalam”. This verse is usually translated as “He who imparts knowledge with the help of the pen”. Allah is gracious and with a little effort That the word "pen" is used in the Qur'an in two senses, one is "a writing instrument" and the other is "cutting something". Now remember that when we cut something, we have to know its origin. Knows the truth. You can use the cutting process as a means to an end. Therefore, the pen here can also be taken to mean the human attribute that God Almighty has given us to make us noble and distinguished from other creatures, that is, curiosity.
Man is the only creature in the world who loves to know, to discover, to learn, to discover and to get to the bottom of things. All the progress, all the knowledge and all the success of human history is due to this attribute. You can imagine that today, thanks to his research and curiosity, he has come to know that there are twelve hundred species of scorpions in the world. He also knows where they are found, which scorpion venom can be used, which are more harmful and which are beneficial. But no scorpion in the world knows anything about any human being because the Almighty did not give him the temperament and quality to learn knowledge. By wearing the crown of greatness on the head of man, he made him the leader of other creatures so that man could accumulate knowledge about all creatures, the smallest germs and the largest dinosaur, but no other creature is related to others or even to himself. knowing.
Curiosity creates the “why, what and how?” In our lives and the one who has the why, what and how in his life is lucky, because when your passion for learning is healthy, you know your condition. And your news inspires you to change and develop. Why am I not succeeding? What is the way to succeed? How can I make progress? These are three valuable questions that if one really has, he can change his life by finding the answers. Remember, the biggest change in the world came because of a person's curiosity and the questions that arise in his mind. For example, if the Wright brothers' curiosity did not raise the question of why humans cannot fly like birds? Is there a way to fly in the air? And how can we fly in the air? So the revolution in the human world that came because of airplanes would not have happened. Make a list of all the inventions and discoveries in the world, all of which are the perfection of human curiosity. The development of every sector and today's conveniences have all been made possible by curiosity.
One of the most beautiful aspects of curiosity is that we all have different temperaments and we all have different interests in learning and knowing. This hobby is given to us by nature so that we can choose the right profession and career in our life. Curiosity is a means to an end and knowledge builds confidence in your personality. So never let your curiosity get cold.
Ashfaq Ahmed Sahib used to say in his famous program "Zawiyah" that "Never let your inner child die, this inner child urges you to learn". Note that the ability to learn and know is smaller than adults. It is present in children, but they do not know what to know and what not to know, while we know the good and the bad, but we lose the spirit of learning and thus freeze all the files of our development.

REMAINING PART

Students will be attracted to research if schools, colleges and universities become a means of increasing student curiosity. Education based on research is the real knowledge. Remembering a lesson without desire and passion is actually ignorance, this is the food you ate without hunger. Of course, you will not enjoy it, nor will you benefit from it. Curiosity motivates you to take new paths in life, then thousands of people have to go through the paths you have made, so curiosity makes you stand out from others.
Just think, how many apples in this world would have fallen from the trees to the ground, but when Newton saw the apples falling from the trees, his curiosity made him think, "What is the force that pulls the apples down?" Is it? ”It was this curiosity that made him such a great scientist. The greatest scientist of the last century was Einstein. Someone asked him, "How did you become so talented?" He paused, looked the questioner in the eye, and replied, "Out of curiosity."
The beauty of this world is due to this one thing. If there was no curiosity in human beings, we would still be sitting in a cave in a stone age and enjoying meat !!

تجسس: انسان کو عظمت دلانے والی خوبی
سیکھنے کی تڑپ سے دنیا میں ترقی اور ایجادات کا عمل شروع ہوا

ہم زندگی میں تین طرح کی کتابیں پڑھتے ہیں۔ پہلی قسم کورس اور نصاب کی کتابوں پر مشتمل ہے۔ ان کو پڑھے بغیر اور یاد کیے بغیر ہم امتحانات میں پاس نہیں ہوتے اور نہ ہی ہمیں ان کے بغیر ڈگر ی ملتی ہے۔ کورس کی کتابوں کو اپنے وقت کے ماہرِتعلیم، دانش ور، سائنسدان اور علماء کرام ترتیب دیتے ہیں۔ ہر دور اور ہر زمانے کی تحقیق کے مطابق کورس تبدیل ہوجاتے ہیں۔اس لیے تعلیم اور تعلیم یافتہ کو ماپنے کے معیار بھی بدل جاتے ہیں۔ دوسری قسم کی کتابیں ہمارے شوق اور مزاج کے انتخاب کا حصہ ہوتی ہیں۔ یہ کتابیں سیاست، مزاح، فکشن، مذہب، سوانح عمری، سفرنامے، سیلف ہیلپ، فلسفہ، شاعری، حکمت و دانش، روحانیت کی ہوسکتی ہیں۔ ہم اپنی پسند کے مطابق ان کتابوں کو پڑھتے ہیں۔ یہ کتابیں ہمیں سوچ دیتی ہیں اور ساتھ ہی ساتھ ہماری شخصیت کو پروان چڑھانے میں بھی مددگار بھی ہوتی ہیں۔ ہم نے ان کتابوں کا امتحان نہیں دینا ہوتا، لیکن یہ کتابیں ہمیں زندگی کے کئی امتحانوں سے کامیاب گزارتی ہیں۔
کتابوں کی تیسری قسم الہامی کتابوں کی ہے۔ یہ کتابیں اللہ تعالیٰ نے انسانیت کی ہدایت کیلئے زمین پر اتاریں اور ان کتابوں میں آخری کتاب قرآن کریم ہے۔ قرآن کریم عربی میں ہے، ہم اس کتاب کو ادب اور احترام کے ساتھ پڑھتے ہیں۔ قرآن کریم کو سمجھنے کیلئے اردو ترجمے کی مدد لیتے ہیں۔ تاہم ماہرین لسانیات اس پر متفق ہیں کہ کسی زبان کی تحریر کو دوسری زبان میں ہوبہو منتقل نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔ قرآن مجید تو ویسے بھی اللہ کا کلام ہے، جو رہتی دنیا تک رشد و ہدایت کا سرچشمہ ہے۔ دل کی آنکھ سے اور غور و فکر کرکے پڑھنے والوں کو اس کی آیات میں جہان ِمعانی پنہاں نظر آتا ہے اور علم و معرفت کے نئے نئے در وا ہوتے ہیں۔ تاہم یہ بھی حقیقت ہے کہ اس کے علوم کا احاطہ ممکن نہیں۔ مجھے قرآن کریم سے محبت ہے اور میں اس کا ترجمہ تھوڑی سی محنت کے ساتھ پڑھتا ہوں۔ کل میں سورۃ العلق پڑھ رہا تھا، یہ آخری پارے کی سورۃ ہے۔ اس کی ابتدائی آیات رسول اللہ ﷺ پر پہلی وحی کے موقع پر نازل ہوئیں۔ اس کی آیت نمبر چار ہے’’ الذی علم بالقلم‘‘ اس آیت کا ترجمہ عموماً یہ کیا جاتا ہے کہ ’’جس نے علم دیا قلم کی مدد سے‘‘ اللہ کریم نے مہربانی فرمائی اور تھوڑی سی محنت اور غوروفکر سے مجھے پتا چلا کہ قرآن میں ’’قلم‘‘ کا لفظ دو معنوں میں استعمال ہوا ہے ایک ’’لکھنے والا آلہ‘‘ اور دوسرا ’’ کسی شے کو کاٹنا‘‘ اب یاد رکھیے کہ جب ہم کسی شے کو کاٹتے ہیں تو ہمیں اس کی اصل حقیقت کا علم ہوتا ہے۔ کاٹنے کے عمل کو آپ اصل چیز تک پہنچنے کا ذریعہ سمجھ سکتے ہیں۔ اس لیے یہاں قلم سے مراد اس انسانی صفت کو بھی لیا جا سکتا ہے جو خدا تعالیٰ نے ہمیں دوسری مخلوقات سے اشرف اور ممتاز بنانے کیلئے دی، یعنی تجسس۔
انسان دنیا کی واحد مخلوق ہے، جس کو جاننے کا، کھوج لگانے کا، سیکھنے کا، پتہ لگانے کااور بات کی تہہ تک جانے کا شوق ہے۔ انسانی تاریخ کی ساری ترقی، سارا علم اور ساری کامیابی اس صفت کی مرہون منت ہے۔ آپ اندازہ لگائیں کہ آج انسان اپنی تحقیق اور تجسس کی صلاحیت کی بدولت یہ جان چکا ہے کہ دنیا میں بچھو کی بارہ سو اقسام ہیں۔ وہ یہ بھی جان چکا ہے کہ یہ کہاں کہاں پائے جاتے ہیں، کس بچھو کا زہر کس کام آ سکتا ہے، کون سے زیادہ نقصان دہ اور کون سے فائدہ مند ہیں۔ لیکن دنیا کا کوئی بچھو کسی بھی انسان کے متعلق کچھ نہیں جانتا کیونکہ رب کریم نے اسے علم سیکھنے کا مزاج اور صفت عطا نہیں کی۔ انسان کے سر پر عظمت کا تاج پہنا کر باقی مخلوقات کا سردار اس لیے بنا دیا کہ انسان ساری مخلوقات، چھوٹے سے چھوٹے جراثیم اور بڑے سے بڑے ڈائینو سار کے متعلق علم اکٹھا کرلے لیکن کوئی اور مخلوق دوسروں کے متعلق تو کیا اپنے متعلق بھی نہیں جانتی۔
تجسس ہماری زندگی میں ’’کیوں، کیا اور کیسے؟‘‘ کو پیدا کرتا ہے اور جس کی زندگی میں کیوں ، کیا اور کیسے موجود ہو وہ خوش قسمت ہے، کیونکہ جب آپ کا سیکھنے کا شوق سلامت ہوتا ہے تو آپ کو اپنی حالت کی خبر ہونے لگتی ہے اور اپنی خبر آپ کو تبدیلی اور ترقی کیلئے اکساتی ہے۔ میں کامیاب کیوں نہیں ہورہا؟ کامیاب ہونے کا کیا طریقہ ہے؟ میں ترقی کیسے کرسکتا ہوں؟ یہ وہ تین قیمتی سوال ہیں جو واقعی اگر کسی کے پاس ہوں تو وہ ان کے جواب تلاش کرکے اپنی زندگی بدل سکتا ہے۔ یاد رکھیں، دنیا کے اندر بڑی سے بڑی تبدیلی کسی انسان کے تجسس کی وجہ سے اور اس کے ذہن میں پیدا ہونے والے سوالات کی وجہ سے آئی۔ مثال کے طور پر اگر رائیٹ برادران کے تجسس کی وجہ سے یہ سوالات ان کے اندر نہ اٹھتے کہ پرندوں کی طرح انسان ہوا میں کیوں نہیں اڑ سکتے؟ کیا ہوا میں اڑنے کا کوئی طریقہ موجود ہے؟ اور ہم کیسے ہوا میں اڑسکتے ہیں؟ تو انسانی دنیا میں جو انقلاب ہوائی جہازوں کی وجہ سے آیا وہ نہ آپاتا۔ دنیا کی ساری ایجادات اور دریافتوں کی فہرست بنا لیں، یہ سب انسان کے تجسس کا کمال ہیں۔ ہر شعبے کی ترقی اور آج کی آسانیاں سب تجسس کی وجہ سے ممکن ہوئی ہیں۔
تجسس کی خوبی کا ایک بہت خوبصورت پہلو یہ ہے کہ ہم سب کا مزاج جدا جدا ہے اور ہم سب میں سیکھنے اور جاننے کا شوق بھی الگ الگ شعبے کا ہے۔ یہ شوق قدرت نے ہمیں عطا کیا ہوتا ہے تاکہ ہم اپنی زندگی میں درست پیشے اور کیرئیر کا انتخاب کرسکیں۔ تجسس علم بڑھانے کا ذریعہ بنتا ہے اور علم آپ کی شخصیت میں اعتماد پیدا کرتا ہے۔ اس لیے کبھی اپنے تجسس کو ٹھنڈا نہ ہونے دیجیے۔
اشفاق احمد صاحب اپنے مشہور پروگرام ’’زاویہ‘‘ میں فرماتے تھے کہ ’’ کبھی بھی اپنے اندر کا بچہ نہ مرنے دینا، یہ اندر کا بچہ تمھیں سیکھنے پر اکساتا ہے‘‘ آپ نوٹ کیجیے سیکھنے اور جاننے کی صلاحیت بڑوں سے زیادہ چھوٹے بچوں میں موجود ہوتی ہے، لیکن ان کو یہ علم نہیں ہوتا کہ کیا جاننا ہے اور کیا نہیں جاننا، جبکہ ہمیں اچھائی اور برائی کا علم تو ہوجاتا ہے لیکن ہم سیکھنے کے جذبے کوگنوا دیتے ہین اور اس طرح ہمارے ترقی کرنے کے سارے مسل فریز ہوجاتے ہیں۔
سکول، کالج اور یونیورسٹی اگر طالب علم کے تجسس کو بڑھانے کا ذریعہ بن جائیں تو طالب علم تحقیق کی طرف متوجہ ہوں گے۔ تحقیق یا ریسرچ کی بنیاد پر حاصل کی ہوئی تعلیم ہی اصل علم ہے۔ تمنا اور شوق کے بغیر سبق کا یاد ہونا در اصل لاعلمی ہے، یہ وہ کھانا ہے جسے آپ نے بغیر بھوک کے کھا لیا۔ یقینا نہ تو اس سے آپ لطف اندوز ہوں گے اور نہ ہی آپ اس سے فائدہ اٹھا سکیں گے۔ تجسس آپ کو زندگی میں نئے راستے اپنانے پر اکساتا ہے، پھر آپ کے بنائے ہوئے راستوں سے ہزاروں لوگوں نے گزرنا ہوتا ہے، اس لیے تجسس آپ کو دوسروں سے نمایاں اور ممتاز بنا دیتا ہے۔
ذرا سوچیے، اس دنیا میں کتنے سیب درختوں سے زمین پر گرتے رہے ہوں گے، لیکن جب نیوٹن نے درخت سے سیب گرتے دیکھا تو اس کے تجسس نے اسے یہ سوال سوچنے پر مجبور کردیا کہ ’’آخر سیب کو نیچے کھینچنے والی طاقت کون سی ہے؟‘‘ اس تجسس نے ہی اس کو اتنا بڑا سائنس دان بنا دیا۔پچھلی صدی کا سب سے بڑا سائنسدان آئن سٹائن تھا۔ کسی نے اس سے پوچھا کہ ’’تم میں اتنا ٹیلنٹ کس طرح پیدا ہوا؟‘‘ اس نے تھوڑا سا وقفہ لیا، سوال کرنے والے کی آنکھوں میں آنکھیں ڈالیں اور جواب دیا، ’’تجسس کی وجہ سے‘‘ ۔
اس دنیا کا سا را حسن اس ایک چیز کے دم سے ہے ۔ اگر انسا نو ں میں تجسس نہ ہو تا تو ہم آج بھی پتھر کے دو ر میں کسی غار میں بیٹھ کر گو شت انجوا ئے کر رہے ہو تے !!
